Today November 19 is the international day of the entrepreneurial woman and for this reason we wanted to interview our manager, Marisa Ramudo, who 20 years ago began to undertake in the sector of design furniture for events in Barcelona creating Barcelona Integral.
- What motivated or inspired you to undertake?
It was 5 months after my son was born and I knew that it would be impossible for me to keep up with the rhythm of work that I had before becoming a mother, in my previous job there were no hours from Monday to Sunday.
- How did the idea of Barcelona Integral come about?
I came from the events sector and I found out that there was a gap in the designer furniture rental market that was not covered in spain.
- What defines Barcelona Integral?
Barcelona Integral is a family business where we give personalized attention to all our clients and where we continue to investigate design and current trends in the furniture sector, we pay close attention to new materials to constantly renew our furniture rental catalog.
- What was it like to undertake as a woman in the industrial sector for events, a very masculine sector?
I had to show that I was capable. I was backed by ten years in the industrial sector for events, which helped me a lot at the beginning of my company for renting design furniture for events. Nowadays I think that in the end we are people regardless of our gender.
-What advice would you give to a woman who is thinking of launching her own project?
Let it be launched! And never lose the illusion. That is not easy, but it is possible. It is a path full of constant learning, very exciting.
-Finally, what would you say to the Marisa of twenty years ago that she launched with a backpack full of enthusiasm to undertake Barcelona Integral?
Ahead! Let's go!
